MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The singer has been able to make major international breakthroughs into the Latin pop mainstream. Una Lady Como Tu (his popular hit song from 2016) received an Colombian Kids Choice Award, the 2017 most popular Song. The album he released as his debut ADN was released by La Industria Inc., an Medellin-based Sony distribution company. The album peaked at the rank of 8 places on the Top Latin Albums charts. Turizo was raised in a musical environment, because both his mother and older brother are professional musicians. According to him, musicality was an integral aspect of his daily life. He was taught how to play the saxophone, guitar, Ukulele, and piano while when he was a child. Though his original career plan was to be a veterinarian for animals, his brother Julian convinced him to try taking singing lessons from an instructor in Cuban. The lessons revolutionized his entire life.
